Pigeon Radio Australia Editorial piece Monday, 3rd December 2018

My opinion, for the whingers and whiners!!!
What’s wrong with Pigeon fanciers these days?
Always whinging and carrying on about tracks, viruses, winds, position, advantages, when realistically they should have a strong hard look in the mirror.
It is what it is!
It is disappointing to me that certain members of various clubs and federations, around Australia, creating petitions and protests to get members kicked out of their clubs or federations, because, quite frankly, these people don’t like competition and competitive racing, as they think that certain members have an advantage. In my opinion, if you get the birds right and put in the hard work, you will be on top of the game most of the time, regardless of where you or you’re fellow fancier lives from you, or what position they are in. The whingers and whiners would rather have fewer members because it suits them to win a race with no competitive edge. In this sport, we need as many members as we can get, and hold on to every member. Every member is an asset. Competitive edge is excellent, as you’re birds will receive the recognition they deserve.
Every track should be raced! Teach the birds to handle anything. Breed birds that can handle anything. If they can’t handle a headwind or a hard race they are just not good enough like it is in any competitive sport. Or the fancier has not prepared them correctly. For God’s sake stop the whinging and wining, put your head down, focus, do the work required and you will see results no matter what track you are on or where you live.
